We have lived in Bering House for nearly forty years.
Renate originally came from a little village called Kirchlengern near Hanover in Germany.
Bering was her family name and we chose her village coat of arms as our logo.
She arrived in England first working as an au pair and then as an interpreter for the Tourist Board taking part in Shows, Seminars and Boat Shows both in England and Germany.
Having met and married John, an engineer, Renate gave up her work and channelled her energies in to creating a special luxury b and b.
