Easily accessed by all major road networks. The Holme Valley is famous for its outstanding beauty, on the edge of the peak district and Pennine Hills.
Holmfirth is the largest market town in the valley as immortalised in the long-running TV show, 'Last of the Summer Wine'. It is also the backdrop for the popular 'Where the Heart Is'. Both these programmes are filmed in the immediate surrounding areas of the Holme Valley. The area has outstanding scenery, superb walks, high hills and green valleys, and is steeped in local history.
Quiet, unspoilt villages lie in this picturesque valley where the visitor can find a variety of shops, country pubs, fine restaurants and cafe bars. The Holme Valley has excellent transport links making us easy to find. The M1 and M62 are half an hour's drive away and within an hour you can be in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield or the historic City of York.

All three of our luxurious self-catering cottages in Holmfirth are fully furnished, fully central heated and fully modernised, whilst still retaining their rustic, countryside, Holmfirth charm.
The kitchen boasts the beautiful original exposed beams and is very well equipped with gas hob, electric oven, microwave oven, fridge / freezer and laundry facilities including a washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Its got all the little bits and pieces any aspiring culinary master would need, so theres no need to fill your suitcase up with kitchen utensils!

From the south leave the M1 at Junction 35a and follow the Manchester / Huddersfield signs for 10 miles approx.
When you reach the large roundabout go straight across onto the A616 to Huddersfield.
Follow this road for 1 mile until reaching a crossroads where you then turn left onto the B6106 to Holmfirth near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Follow this road for about 5 miles, on your right you will see a windmill, after that watch for a minor crossroad and the sign post marked Scholes to the right.
When you reach the large roundabout go straight across onto the A616 to Huddersfield.
Follow this road for 1 mile until reaching a crossroads where you then turn left onto the B6106 to Holmfirth near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
