Our holiday cottages are available for short term lets, between two-nights and a month. With full self-catering facilities we hope you will feel at home for your stay as you access all that Islay has to offer, from whisky distilleries to local wildlife. Tigh Cargaman Cottages are conveniently located in a quiet area on the edge of Port Ellen, facing the beach and looking towards Kilnaughton Bay.
It is a short 5 minute stroll into the centre of the village which offers a variety of shops, restaurants, bars and a Post Office. Cycle hire is available and a tennis court, bowling green and 'pitch-and-putt' are adjacent. The pier is close by, which is handy for those who do not want to travel by car. For those wishing to visit the whisky distilleries, Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg are within 3 miles.
Many guests use the dedicated footpath and time their visit to coincide with popular lunchtime at Ardbeg. Islay is also noted for its wildlife which includes deer, seals, otters and wild birds and even an occasional golden eagle.
