It is a family run hotel with eleven bedrooms, all ensuite, some newly transformed with bespoke furnishings and luxury wet rooms, and is open all year round. The Hotel cooking makes excellent use of Islay's local produce including beef, lamb and seafood all of which is served in the beautifully appointed dining room.
The hotel bar stocks a selection of Islay's famous malt whiskies. The bar also has the full Sky TV Sports package showing all Scottish and English Premier League football matches.

The Bowmore Hotel is the oldest hotel in Bowmore but the ground floor, dining room, lounge bar and bar, have undergone extensive renovations to bring the building back to what it was when it was built.
Whinstone walls, Canadian Red pine which is a lovely backdrop for the Scottish Elm furniture installed by Scottish Designer, Paul Hodgkiss from Glasgow.
The hotel has full oil fired central heating, double glazing and an al fresco terraced area to the back for summer dining.

The lounge bar is used at lunchtime for bar lunches from 12 noon until 3 p.m.ish and also at nighttime for meals from 6pm to 9pm with last orders at 8.45 (flexible in the summer for people off the late ferry).
