This spacious house has been built in the traditional style designed for the comfort of guests, including full central heating and double glazing throughout. Situated on Strond, Leverburgh, South Harris, this secluded house has the hills at the rear and the sea to the front, with the nearest neighbours being a quarter of a mile on either side. A day's round trip, by car or bus, will take you as far as the most southerly point of South Uist through Benbecula and North Uist (via Leverburgh Berneray ferry link).

Alternatively, heading north you can travel beyond the Callanish Stones and Stornoway to the most northerly point of Lewis. Carminish House is the ideal central point to explore the majority of the Western Isles. Val and Pete look forward to welcoming you to this wonderful location which truly has 'A Touch of Magic'. The ground floor guest accommodation comprises of two double rooms and one twin room, each with ensuite shower facilities, with views towards the Sound of Harris.

Our current policy is to accommodate one household group exclusively for a minimum of 3 nights.
Visitors are advised to check flight/ferry availability before confirming bookings as both flights and ferries may have limited availability during peak times.
Air travel to Stornoway is operated by Loganair from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and Manchester.
Caledonian MacBrayne operate ferries connecting the Scottish mainland to Stornoway and Tarbert, also a ferry service crossing the Sound of Harris between Leverburgh and Berneray for onward travel to North Uist, Benbecula and South Uist.
