Knightshayes is one of the finest surviving Gothic Revival houses, surrounded by acres of parkland. Unlimited train rides, model railways, model village, indoor and outdoor play areas all set within a former railway station. Tiverton Pannier Market offers great value fresh local produce & fabulous handmade crafts. Built in 1106 by order of Henry I, Tiverton Castle is the remains of the medieval castle with beautiful walled gardens within the romantic ruins.
Declared a Country Park in 1971 and a Local Nature Reserve in 2005, the canal is a wonderfully relaxing place for a peaceful walk or cycle ride along the towpath. Just returned from a 12 night stay at the Bridge Guest House in Tiverton. Centrally located, occupying an impressive position, with views from both the rooms and the garden over the beautiful River Exe and the surrounding country side.
Only a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping area, and restaurants, bars, cafes etc - (and one minutes walk to Wetherspoons Pub for good value food).
