Carefully prepared for guests, we can accommodate up to six people and comprises a spacious entrance hall with plenty of space for boots and coats leading to a downstairs toilet/cloakroom, well equipped kitchen and an exceptionally large lounge/dining room with patio door access onto the patio and garden area.
Refurbished 2013, includes oak flooring through hall and lounge diner, slate floored fitted kitchen with appliances, including dishwasher and washing machine and the installation of a log burner to compliment the renovations within the spacious family lounge/dining room.

Torver is a great starting point to enjoy 'The Old Man' range, Dow Cragg, Walner Scar road and access to Wetherlam, whether by foot or by wheel.
In addition to the fells, the are plenty of local walks and cycling routes suiting most abilities, to take in the magnificent Coniston Water, Torver Common, Tarn Hows and Grizedale Forest.
Ash Gill Cottage is just a stones throw from two extremely popular pubs with fabulous reputations, both serving quality and plentiful dishes, utilising local suppliers where possible, and coupled with award winning regionally brewed real ales, plus the more widely available lagers and Guinness, you're sure to have a wonderful time, with no need to drive.

At Greenodd, take the second exit off the new roundabout (turning right) towards Workington (A5092), 2 miles further turn right toward Coniston (A5084), you'll stay on this road for approx 6 miles.
Turn left towards Broughton (A593) and immediately turn right (as if you are turning into the Wilson Arms pub car park), follow the road to the left and Ash Gill Cottage is on the left, immediately after Ash Gill Bungalow on the corner.
