An imposing red brick Edwardian Inn, built in the early 20th century by the Colchester Brewery Company, the Victory stands in a prominent position on the waterfront, overlooking the Blackwater estuary and the North Sea. Not far down the road is the building that housed the original Victory pub, now a private cottage.

The Lodge is a new self-catering holiday cottage and sits in the grounds of an old 16th Century house. It's fresh, eco-friendly and very energy efficient. The original part of the house was built in the 1600's and it's most famous occupant was W Heath-Robinson, the well-known cartoonist and illustrator of eccentric machines, who lived here from 1913
