He was a well-respected Rothes figure: as much a part of the whisky industry as he was an important member of the local community.
Toot ran the A. Forsyth and Son copperworks business, later to become Forsyths: a major employer in Rothes that designs and manufactures equipment for the global oil and gas and alcoholic beverage sectors, notably copper stills for the whisky industry.
In the cafe bar that bears his name, visitors and local residents alike can relax in informal surroundings - complete with a locally hand-crafted, copper sink for adding water to your whisky.
Complete with its own spirit safe made right next door at Forsyths, this bar is the ideal intimate location for pre-dinner drinks and delicious appetisers.
The bar, featuring miniature copper replicas of Scottish whisky stills using Forysths unrivalled industry knowledge, is home to more than 500 different whiskies - and growing.
From rare and limited releases to your favourite fine spirits, our expertly trained team are happy to recommend a dram, and help you compare tasting notes.
You can even sample the Station Hotel's own limited edition 24-year-old single cask whisky, produced at the Speyside Distillery in Kingussie using Forsyth's stills and finished in a sherry butt.
Our collection of 15 unique bedrooms feature everything you would expect from an elegant, luxury hotel.
You'll find stylish, Scottish interior design at its best, all finished to the highest standard.

Each of our six suites is named after a Rothes distillery: recognising the huge contribution our town has made to the international Scottish whisky trade.
Each suite features contemporary Scottish decor featuring tactile textiles, stunning bathrooms and world-famous Hypnos beds, complemented by quality handmade Italian furniture.
