Chase Lodge Hotel
Proud to be independent, Chase Lodge Hotel in Kingston upon Thames is not your average London Accommodation. A 200-year old building with oodles of character, it epitomises the cosy, old-world charm so often lacking in today's tower block, chain hotels. A former magistrates house, Chase Lodge Hotel near Twickenham has 8 rooms, all unique and with free wi-fi.

We are a minute away from lovely walks by the River Thames and Bushy park (1,100 acres/300 deer). Just over the bridge, is the ancient City of Kingston with 47 restaurants including Jamie's Italian and Caluccios. Or catch a boat up to Hampton Court Palace, where 5 Kings were crowned. Chase Lodge Hotel is 30 minutes from central London and Heathrow airport.

We are really friendly and welcome children, business people and romantic couples. A hidden gem!

In 1761 the founders of Child's Bank commissioned Adam to transform a crumbling Tudor mansion into this elegant neo-classical villa.
It became their house in the country, created for entertainment and to impress their friends and business associates.
The magnificent 16th-century stables survive largely intact.
The surrounding parkland is complete with pleasure grounds and neo-classical garden buildings.
