The main house consists of 5 bright and comfortable bedrooms with a spacious lounge for guests to relax in. Help yourself to tea and coffee or enjoy a dram from our honesty bar. Guests are welcome to bring in snacks, drinks and takeaway food and we will provide crockery, cutlery and glasses.
We have a guests fridge and bottle cooler. If you would like to bring in your own beer, wine and drinks you can keep them chilled in our bottle cooler. Our accommodation is ideal for family gatherings, wedding parties, romantic breaks, golfing, fishing and shooting parties.
We are able to offer exclusive use of our five bedrooms to larger groups. If you are going to an event at the Birnam Arts Centre we are just across the road and only a 5 minute walk from the train station.

Birnam originates from the Victorian era with the coming of the railway in 1856.
Originally the end of the line, many well to do Victorians took their holidays in the area including Beatrix Potter.
The Merryburn was built as an emporium of significance with wonderful owners accommodation above.
The shop operated until the late 1960's when the building was converted to a hotel.
In 2007 it was bought by its present owners, Deirdre and Hilary who have spent the last two years lovingly restoring it, mindful of its glorious past whilst taking into consideration the needs of the modern traveller.
