Also, we are now taking bookings for 2022. Please come and see our our newly refurbished dining room and fully licensed bar, book direct or ring us for our availability. We are now providing evening meals for our guests if they require them on all days apart from Tuesdays and Thursdays.

There are plenty of places in Seaton to eat on those evenings. If like us you have a love of the sea, then you need to look no further. We are situated on the Esplanade in Seaton, East Devon. Our unparalleled sea front position offers guests panoramic views over Lyme Bay, towards the chalk cliffs of Beer Head. Mariners is on Devon's Jurassic Coastline, we are 7 miles to the west of Lyme Regis and 10 miles to the east of Sidmouth, Exeter is 26 miles away.

Most of our contemporary and individually styled bedrooms have uninterrupted full sea views. Both of our self catering apartments have south facing balconies overlooking Lyme Bay.
Services
We are proud of the Mariners renowned breakfast experience.
We offer a wide selection cereals, fresh fruit salad prepared daily, a large selection of individually cooked to order dishes prepared by the proprietor, Lisa, who has carried on the standard set by the previous owner who was well known for creating the perfect breakfast.
We also cater for celiac, vegans and vegetarians.
Breakfast is something to really look forward to at the Mariners according to our guests.
We are aiming to gain the AA Breakfast Award as did the previous owners, and to repeat the same high quality of food and service on a daily basis for all our guests.
Guided tours of vast underground caverns started by the Romans, which provided Beer stone used in 24 Cathedrals, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, and many other historic buildings.
See for yourself where and how the stone was quarried, the appalling working conditions and dangers faced by the work force, some as young as 8 years old.
See too, the site of the secret Catholic Chapel and where smugglers hid their contraband.
Seaton Tramway operates narrow gauge heritage trams between Seaton, Colyford and Colyton in East Devon's glorious Axe Valley, travelling alongside the River Axe estuary through two nature reserves and giving an unrivalled view of the abundant wading bird life.
We found that some guests were uneasy with going out to other places and preferred to stay with us and dine.
Lisa does a daily special including homemade dishes like Lasagne, Chilli Con Carne, Fish Pie, Steak Pie, Vegetarian Quiche, Hunters Chicken etc.
Our guests feel comfortable in our socially distanced dining room which also has a fully licensed bar.
