They are all enjoying the wide-open spaces on our 28 acre estate, touring the fabulous Borders and visiting the great city of Edinburgh - a mere 35 minute drive away. Our new afternoon tea menu is proving popular and luxury picnic hampers are a great outdoor dining option. A real treat of 4 and 5 night breaks inclusive of breakfast and 2 AA rosette dining at Cringletie.

Our Taste of the Seasons short breaks allow you to enjoy these seasons at our very best prices. We have 15 rooms and suites including Ardean, a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom self-catering guest cottage in the grounds. Each room has its own characteristics from romantic turrets to feature fireplaces. The hotel is also highly accessible with direct access from the carpark to all public rooms and most guest rooms.

With recent awards including 2 AA Rosettes and The Hotel Awards "Hotel Dining Experience of the Year 2019", The Sutherland Restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily featuring locally sourced produce. Afternoon tea is also served daily and a wide selection of function menus is offered for weddings and other private events.

Designated parking is available close to the entrance with plenty of room for transport with additional space requirements, a wheelchair access ramp outside the house, an easy-to-operate chairlift to the ground floor, and a passenger lift to the first and second floors.

Menus are seasonal and you can expect a relaxed and enjoyable experience with a fine-dining feel, sensibly sized portions and beautifully presented dishes.
On Sunday nights you can indulge in a seven-course tasting menu with matching wines and drinks.
This starts at 6.30 p.m. and the restaurant manager presents each course, in turn, highlighting the ingredients used in each dish.
The matched drinks are also explained and why they have been paired.
Children are welcome to dine in the restaurant; high chairs are available and we offer Huggies Friends - a children's menu.
Our own selection of freshly made savouries including black pudding & apple sausage roll, smoked haddock Scotch egg, and a broccoli & blue cheese tart, followed by delicate finger sandwiches.
Enjoy our homemade cakes such as Battenburg, Swiss meringue topped with Chantilly cream & berries, gateaux opera, lemon posset and of course our delicious warm scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream.
Our Afternoon Tea is served with a great choice of loose leaf teas, speciality teas and a selection of coffees.
Our Events Coordinator will not only guide you through the detailed arrangements prior but also be present on the day to ensure the event is all you would wish it to be.
With 13 rooms in the main house and a cottage in the grounds, we can accommodate up to 30 guests in-house and up to 70 for your ceremony and reception.
We are licensed to hold civil and religious wedding ceremonies in the main house and across the estate.
For intimate weddings of just the bride and groom, we provide a private room for your ceremony and witnesses.
