Services
The Nevis Bank is owned by Derek & Bernadine Claase who have owned and run a number of hotels over the years.
In 2003 we sold all our hotel interests and retired from the industry.
However we did also have a small house building company which kept us busy and productive.
In 2007 when the banks collapsed the property market dried up we ended up with lots of unsold houses, a fabulous building team and nothing to do.
Hey presto, (one door closes and another one opens), next to where we were working was a hotel closed for a couple of years very run down 1970s style with leaky roofs, very basic tiny bedrooms and general state of severe disrepair.

Salmon Gravalax served with Rye Cracker, Celeriac and Fennel Remoulade, Celeriac tartare, Capers and Rocket Salad.
Our Restaurant is extremely busy during peak season used by not just residents but also many locals and customers staying in other establishments.

First time stay at the Nevis Bank Inn and hopefully not the last.
Excellent rooms, first class, friendly staff who were happy to go above and beyond.
Ours was a family stay across two rooms which were next to each other.
Whilst we did not avail ourselves of the Breakfast (our choice), the evening menu and service was varied and of a high standard.
Had originally booked via an accommodation search engine only to discover that it was on a room only basis.
Phoned the hotel direct and spoke to Claire.

The Nevis Range Mountain Gondola is the only one of its kind in Britain and reaches the heights of 650m.
It was built on the north face of Aonach Mr, the 8th highest mountain in Britain, originally as a way to transport skiers to the slopes.
The Mountain Gondola has become an amazing visitor attraction, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenic ride and absorb the stunning views and clear mountain air.
It is also widely used as a short cut by climbers to the many challenging winter climbing routes on Aonach Mr and by hill walkers to access summer routes.
