Graig Wen
Our self catering holiday cottages, glamping and camping accommodation in Snowdonia National Park, near Barmouth and Dolgellau, North Wales are in an exceptional location. Overlooking the Mawddach Estuary, one of the most beautiful in Wales, the views are breathtaking. Head down our (steepish) track straight onto the scenic Mawddach cycle Trail and choose left for the coast or right for the mountains.

Breathtaking mountain scenery is all around, with long sandy beaches, castles, steam trains, zip lines and bike trails close by. Whether you prefer a cottage, cosy yurt, beautifully crafted shepherd's hut or camping under the stars, Graig Wen offers families, couples and solo explorers a range of quirky and quality accommodation on the Welsh coast.

Our small, tranquil camp site has direct access to the Mawddach Estuary and cycle trail. There's a sheltered area with electric hook ups for a few vans close to the facilities. If you really want to get away from it all, go wild and pitch your tent down near the estuary to star gaze around a camp fire.

John and Sarah packed up their lives in Brighton in 2006 and left town with their dogs in an old motorhome.
We discovered Graig Wen after a year on the open road - we had found the wild escape of our dreams.
It's a long way from where we met on Brighton beach through our shared passion for music and the great outdoors.
We saved up for a camper van, little knowing when we picked up "Heidi", a battered VW, that it would lead us to such adventures.
After a long, hot summer travelling around Europe, we returned to Brighton to hatch an escape plan.
Now we have the pleasure of working and playing with all kinds of local people who we can count on through thick and thin.
You just never know when you're going to need a tray of eggs, a tractor or an extra pair of hands.
That's just one of the reasons we use as many local food producers, crafts people, suppliers and givers of good advice as we can.
By supporting us you are supporting our local economy which mostly relies on visitors and the odd sheep to survive.
As well as local people and our great team, our family, friends, volunteers and regular customers all contribute to our sense of community here.
