Once home to a medieval brewery it now proudly serves Arkell's award winning ales, family brewers since 1843. Calne's most iconic building, the hotel enjoys a prominent position on the A4 and is ideally located just 15 minutes from the M4. Being part of the historic London-Bristol coaching route the Lansdowne Strand is situated on the A4.
As you'd expect from a historic 16th century Grade II Listed building most rooms are complimented by beautiful sash windows.
As these are single glazed this does naturally mean some road noise can be expected from rooms situated on the roadside.
