Based a few miles from Royal Dornoch near the main A9 Road to Orkney (a popular day trip) and an hour North of the Highland capital, Inverness, this holiday cottage has all the facilities you need for a relaxing holiday. Sitting deep in the North Highlands of Scotland, Achue Croft Cottage provides a comfortable fully equipped holiday cottage amongst some of the country's most beautiful landscapes.
With wildlife, birds and even a few sea based mammals (seal and bottlenose dolphins) alongside the trout and salmon fishing there is plenty to see and do in and around this rich natural habitat. Achue sits at the centre of the NC500 with all parts reachable in a day's drive. A traditional 19th century croft cottage, fully renovated in the 1990's, Achue has everything you would expect of a 21st century self-catering holiday home, including beds for up to six.
The world-famous Royal Dornoch Golf Club is only a 20 minute drive away, and the capital of the Highlands, Inverness, only an hour.

The cottage is a nineteenth century croft house which was extensively rebuilt and extended in 1992.
It has been in our family for over 100 years.
Downstairs, there is a comfortable sitting room with seating for 6, a TV, video, DVD player and music centre.
We have now installed free wi fi braodband.
The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, wa shing machine, tumble drier, dish washer, kettle, toaster, and mixer.
All crockery, cutlery and dishes are supplied.

There are opportunities for salmon, trout or sea fishing.
Golf is available at Royal Dornoch (20 minutes away) or at any of the other 21 course in the area: the delightful 9 hole Bonar course is only 2 miles away.

Been coming to this part of scotland all my life but first time to this Lovely Cottage on the Mountain, some stunning views, loved watching and listening to the sheep every day, specially when 3 had escaped.
