Situated close the famous Falls of Shin and across the water from Carbisdale Castle, we are an ideal location from which to explore the stunning North Highlands and north west coast of Scotland with its beautiful beaches and rugged landscapes. We are about a 50 mins drive from Inverness, and a fantastic base to stay to explore all that Sutherland has to offer.
We are right in the middle of 2 fantastic up and coming trails - Balblair and Carbisdale. Still relatively unknown but loved by those who use them. We are also just a 30 min drive through to Golspie where you will find the Wolf Track runs. As well as being only a 20 min drive from the beautiful little town of Dornoch, where you can play at the world famous Royal Dornoch Golf Course, there are also 3 fabulous courses at Tain, Golspie and Brora, all within easy driving distance from the hotel.
We are also lucky enough to have a exceptionally good little 9 hole course - a personal favourite with Angus - just a 5 minute drive away in Bonar Bridge - try it - you wont be disappointed!
