Mid-week special offer - four nights for the price of three (Sun-Thu or Mon-Fri) - phone 01752 822287. Wringford Cottages are located in Cornwall on the edge of the Mount Edgcumbe country park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Within easy walking distance are the local villages of Kingsand and Cawsand and the beaches and cliffs of Whitsand Bay.

The cottages are ideal as the base for a holiday in Cornwall, a short break, a wedding at Polhawn Fort or a passing out parade at HMS Raleigh. The whole area is bordered by the south west coast path, and is wonderful for walking. On site there is plenty of parking, a heated swimming pool (April to October) and acres of grounds. We are both child and dog friendly.
Services
Wringford Cottages are a group of six self-catering properties set around an old Cornish farmhouse.
In the grounds there is a heated indoor swimming pool which is open from Easter until the end of October.
Wringford is set in 4 acres on the Rame peninsula, and is surrounded on 3 sides by the sea.
The Cornwall Gold footpath passes through the property, running from the coastal path on Whitsand Bay down to the village of Cawsand.
To the South we look across the valley to Rame church, to the West towards Whitsand Bay, to the North across the Tamar to Plymouth, and to the East down to Cawsand Bay.
Wringford Cottages sit on the Rame peninsula in Cornwall, just over the Tamar river from Plymouth in Devon.
The peninsula is known as the "forgotten corner" of Cornwall and is a peaceful and beautiful place.
The villages of Kingsand and Cawsand in Cornwall are a 10 minute walk from the cottages.
This walk takes you to the edge of the Mount Edgcumbe country park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
A 10 minute walk in the opposite direction brings you out on Whitsand Bay, four miles of beautiful sands backed by cliffs and protected at one end by Polhawn Fort which these days offers civil wedddings, and at the other by Tregantle Fort which is still used by HMS Raleigh for training purposes.
One of the great things about the Rame peninsula is that it offers the best of both worlds - you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere, but Plymouth is just across the Tamar river offering everything you would expect from a big city - shopping, cinemas, galleries, restaurants, and nowhere in Cornwall is too far to visit in a day, the Eden project is less than an hour away, and even Land's End is only 85 miles away.
There follow a few suggestions for places to visit during your stay, please email to let us know if any of these links don't work.
If travelling by car, take the car ferry from Plymouth to Torpoint, follow the A374 to Antony and there take the left turn towards Millbrook.
When you reach a T junction turn left onto the B3247 towards Millbrook.
Proceed past Millbrook to the school at the top of the hill (Fourlanesend) and turn right for Cawsand.
Turn immediately right again up a narrow lane and you will find the entrance to Wringford Down on the right just over the brow of the hill.
Alternatively stay on the A38 past Plymouth across the Saltash bridge to Trerulefoot roundabout from where you can double back on the A374 towards Torpoint then turning right towards Millbrook and following the directions above.
Prices are calculated on a daily basis, i.e. if your stay crosses two seasons the actual price will be somewhere between the two prices shown.
At Whitsun and in the summer holidays bookings for the larger cottages are normally only taken Fri to Fri or Sat to Sat.
Outside of peak season the Manor is bookable at reduced price as a 2, 3 or 4 bed - phone 01752 822287 for details.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required with all bookings and full payment is required 28 days before arrival.
