Set in a secluded glen, Cragganmore House has glorious views to the River Spey and across to Ben Rinnes. Situated in the heart of golfing and Malt Whisky country on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park, and beside the Speyside Way, this is an ideal location for exploring the many attractions of the breathtaking Highland and Moray regions. Award-winning, resident chef, Tony Allcott, and his wife, Helen, have owned and run Cragganmore House for the past ten years.

Together, they provide friendly hospitality and culinary delights in luxurious and historic surroundings, where attention to detail is second-nature. For that extra-special visit, why not enquire about Tony's Cookery Demonstrations? Parts of Cragganmore House date back to pre-Victorian times, but as the family home of John Smith, it was extended and improved to create a magnificent country house.

John Smith was the foremost distiller of his time and figured greatly in the newly legal licensed Speyside whisky trade of the mid 19th Century, managing and running The Macallan, The Glenlivet, and Glenfarclas Distilleries, before founding Cragganmore Distillery in 1869.
