The historic mill town of Belper lies on the edge of the Peak District and is close to Derby. Bridge Hill House is conveniently located on the edge of the town and has panoramic views over the Derwent Mills World Heritage Site. We offer 5* guest accommodation which is comfortable and quiet, the property is new with a contemporary interior but the grounds provide an historic setting.
The many interesting attractions of the town, include the North Mill Museum, the river gardens with row boats, good restaurants and friendly pubs are all within walking distance. We aim to provide guests with a good night's sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning, which is taken in our stunning first floor breakfast room with tremendous panoramic views over the Derwent Valley and Belper.
We have four guest rooms, with sumptuous beds and pampering extras, all have superior en suites. The two spacious Suites offer baths as well as showers. Most rooms have super king beds which can be arranged as twin beds if requested.

Our home was built by ourselves on the site of the former Strutt family estate land.
This is where the original Bridge Hill House* was built and it had extensive grounds; many of the existing majestic trees, cedars, copper beech and yew planted by the Strutts, frame many of the views from our house.
We are fortunate that within our grounds is the Strutt estate ice house and vaulted chambers, built as service facilities for the original mansion.
The structures are listed and are the last substantial remains of the estate.
