Services
The Stables Lodge is a family-run, privately owned business.
The Victorian Stables building has been lovingly restored using original timbers and gables.
All windows and stable doors have been handmade locally with hard wood in the Victorian style.
The project, which was completed in 2008, has successfully combined the charm of the original construction with all the modern facilities you would expect from high-class accommodation.
The building dates back to the late 1880's and was originally built to stable working horses at the Royal Showground in Warwickshire.
Each self-contained suite has private adjacent car parking and enjoys uninterrupted views across open countryside.
The accommodation is split between two levels with stairs leading to a gallery master bedroom.
The ground floor lounge area features a double sofa bed, coffee table, breakfast bar and flat-screen TV with Freeview.
Each suite has free WiFi connection.
A fully-fitted kitchen provides all essential modern appliances including Hotpoint oven and hob, fridge and internal freezer, microwave oven and toaster.
Our unique self-catering Function Suite is set in the grounds of Stables Lodge and is ideal for small private parties and special events.
The facility is available for hire to parties occupying a minimum of four lodges, Fridays and Saturdays.
You can either organise your own catering or we can put you in touch with recommended outside caterers.
For large occasions you can arrange for a marquee to be erected on the adjacent field by special arrangement.
Stables lodge is close to the villages of Burnaston and Etwall, we are just 3 miles off junction 5 of the A50 Derby-Stoke link and about twenty minutes drive from the M1and East Midlands Airport.
Summer or winter, Derbyshire, with its glorious Peak District National Park, stately homes and family attractions is a fantastic place to visit for family days out, short breaks and holidays.
Derbyshire can also claim the first national park to be set up in Britain - the Peak National Park which lies at the southern end of the Pennines.
Dexter would also like to pass on his thanks for the extra treats you organised for him.
Would have no hesitation to revisit Stables Lodge in the future or recommending to friends.
For someone who spends a lot of time in bland 'life less' hotels, Stables Lodge makes a refreshing change in a quiet location.
The Penthouse has all the home comforts of the lodges plus loads more space, a full en-suite with bath and a lovely veranda where you can sit with a nice glass of wine and watch the sun go down!
