Just 7 miles from the M6 (junction 27), Martin Lane Farm is a great base for visiting the whole of Lancashire and the North West of Englands many attractions. During a chance conversation with a local hotel owner, we discovered that West Lancashire was desperately short of tourist accommodation.
This seemed the ideal solution to make use of our large unused barn so, in 1988 we set about converting it into two self-catering holiday cottages, 'The Shippon' and 'The Granary'.
The Granary and The Shippon proved to be a great success so, some years later, we converted a further outbuilding into our one bedroomed cottage 'The Dairy' which has proved particularly popular with couples.

The cottages all lie around an enclosed, cobbled courtyard on our non-working farm.
We have plenty of safe off-road parking and a large garden with picnic table and barbeque area.
The Stable has its own private drive and garden but also has access to the courtyard and large communal garden.

There is a small garden and paved patio area with tables and chairs for 'al fresco' dining.
