Mike and Alex welcome you to the Seaview Guest House Bed and Breakfast. We run the Guest House personally to ensure we can provide you with the best possible attention during your stay in Southport. We had a lovely stay with Mike & Alexat The Seaview Hotel. They made us feel very welcome once again. Mike's breakfasts are legendary! I especially love the scrambled eggs with smoked Salmon on an oven bottomed muffin!
My partner had the full English & he said it was very good, well cooked & presented, but they could maybe use a better quality sausage. The room was very nice, cosy & comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is provided for you. The bed was very comfortable. The TV was very small.
The shower was a bit of a problem as the mixer tap handle can be caught to easily when you move around, if you're not careful, you could get scalded like I did! (having said that it was a small shower cubicle & I am not exactly petite.).Mike & Alex are very friendly, kind, warm & welcoming people & it was a pleasure to stay with them again.

Historically part of Lancashire, the town was founded in 1792 when William Sutton, an innkeeper from Churchtown, built a bathing house at what is now the south end of Lord Street.
At that time, the area, known as South Hawes, was sparsely populated and dominated by sand dunes.
At the turn of the 19th century, the area became popular with tourists due to the easy access from the nearby Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
The rapid growth of Southport largely coincided with the Industrial Revolution and the Victorian era.
