Coniston Country Cottages
We have eight great-value cottages in and around Coniston, right at the heart of England's beautiful Lake District. Our properties range from cosy hideaways for two up to larger cottages sleeping twelve which are ideal for families or friends. Most of our cottages are pet friendly too. A beautiful cottage / bungalow resting in the foothills of the Old Man of Coniston.
With only a ten-minute walk to two pubs / restaurants and a twenty-minute walk to Coniston Water, Long Meadow offers the perfect accommodation for families and walkers alike.
The accommodation sleeps 4 with an extra small room which can be used for sleeping but no bed is provided.
The property has a very large secure garden so it is perfect if you have children or dogs with you.
Little Arrow is a peaceful hamlet just 1 miles south of Coniston village.
Most of the cottages have been converted from the stone outbuildings of our 17th century farmhouse, which is set in enchanting award-winning gardens.
Only half a mile away in Torver is the Chruch House Inn and Wilson Arms which serves food and has a small shop, The Torver Deli.
Coniston village boasts several good pubs, a bank and a Post Office along with a range of shops to supply all your holiday essentials.
The Lickle Valley is an undiscovered gem of the Lake District - a beautiful, quiet valley with good access to the south and west lakes.
Coniston Country Cottages is based at the Wheelgate B&B at Little Arrow, just South of Coniston Village.
To find us follow the directions below.
Leave the M6 at Junction 36 and follow the A590 towards Barrow-in-Furness.
After 3 miles you will need to turn off to continue along the A590 as the road becomes the A591.
Continue to follow the A590 for a further 16 miles.
At Greenodd turn right onto the A5092.
After 2 miles turn right again onto the A5084.
Follow this road along the side of Coniston Water to a T-junction in Torver.

Our APDT UK accredited trainers are able to offer a wide variety of training whether you want to make sure your dog comes when he is called or try out a fun new activity, we have something to suit everyone.
Over in our own two-acre field we have a variety of equipment and can offer training in Dog Parkour (where your dog learns to climb on and interact with a variety of obstacles), Hoopers (a low impact kind of agility) Flyball, tracking, searching and much more.
