A relaxing cruise on our fully-catered and skippered hotel boat TAKARA is the best way to explore the backwaters of England and Wales, while enjoying excellent food and the company of your fellow passengers and experienced crew.We descend towards the valley of the River Avon at Leamington Spa. Then we begin to climb slowly and will continue to do so for many miles through Radford, Fosse and Bascote locks.

On leaving the marina we head towards Droitwich and into the countryside towards Hawford Junction joining the River Seven going south towards Worcester. Takara Hotel Boat has large viewing windows and is 70ft long and 6ft 10ins wide, which is the maximum width that can pass through narrow locks.
The beds are 2ft 6in x 6ft 3ins for the singles and 4ft x 6ft 3ins for the double.
All have orthopedic foam mattresses for comfort, and duvets and cotton sheets are provided as well.
There is a wood burning stove in the lounge and the boat has full central heating to keep you warm on those cold evenings.
Throughout the boat, we have plenty of 240-volt sockets for those electrical items you have brought with you.
As we leave Banbury, we head towards Napton Junction, cruising on the way through Cropredy Village.
After 9 locks, we come to Wormleighton Reservoir, then Fenny Compton Tunnel which has no roof.
Meandering on down through 9 locks to Napton-on-the-Hill then Napton Junction, we leave the Oxford Canal on to the Grand Union Canal.
From here onwards, we descend through wide locks starting with Calcutt, Stockton, Bascote, Fosse and Radford locks.
The canal then passes through Royal Leamington Spa and onto Warwick.
We arrive at the bottom of the famous Caen Hill Flight of 29 locks in 3.6km with a rise of 72 meters towards Devizes then on through The Vale of Pewsey and the villages of Honeystreet, Pewsey, Wootton Rivers and Crofton, passing through The Bruce Tunnel.
Next we go through little villages of Great Bedwyn and Little Bedwyn on way to Hungerford.
First we arrive at the villages of Little Bedwyn and Great Bedwyn as we head west towards the VALE OF PEWSEY and the villages of Crofton, Wootton Rivers and Pewsey, passing through The Bruce Tunnel.

Bookings will be accepted by telephone, but we must receive written confirmation within 14 days.
Please send a deposit of 200 per person for bookings, with the balance due a minimum of 8 weeks before the start date of the cruise.
NOTE: In these conditions, governed and interpreted according to the rules of English Law, The Company referred to is Takara Hotel Boat.
We have limited storage so a soft holdall-type bag is best, no hard cases please.
Dress is very informal, comfortable clothes, including walking boots or shoes, sun hat and sunglasses and waterproofs, and a torch should be included.
Other recommended items are a pair of binoculars, if you have them, and a camera if you would like.
All towels, soap and bedding are provided.
We also have a varied selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games on board for your pleasure.
Sorry we do not carry any pets.
We are unable to accept bikes due to limited storage space.
