Welcome to Yoredale House situated, in Aysgarth, in the heart of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The park plays host to The Pennine Way, Coast to Coast Walk, The Dales Way and The Herriot Way, made famous by the books of James Herriot and the television program 'All Creatures Great and Small'. The famous Aysgarth Falls are a stones throw from our guest house, as is the imposing church of St Andrews which has the largest churchyard in England.
Aysgarths Edwardian Rock Garden at the western end of the village is well worth a visit after a busy day of walking the nearby fells. Our rooms Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough are named after the Three Peaks of the National Park. Opposite our guesthouse is the village green where the village stocks still stand, and can be viewed from the village tea room (which is also run by Steve and Sandra) so clotted cream teas are never a problem at Yoredale House.
