Highway Farm
If you are looking for a relaxing break near to the Jurassic Coast, look no further than Highway Farm near to Bridport with two holiday cottages and fishing lakes. The farm, with grazing sheep and cows, is situated just outside Bridport in the stunning West Dorset countryside. It is just 2 miles to the local fossilling beaches at Eype and Seatown and just 8 miles to the popular seaside town of Lyme Regis.

Take a walk through the farm via Eype Down leading to the stunning Jurassic cliffs and the South West Coast Path. Experience panoramic countryside views from the farm and enjoy fishing in the 2 spring fed fishing lakes, stocked full of carp, in a peaceful and tranquil setting. There are two accommodation choices at Highway Farm. Ganders Cottage, sleeping up to 4 with two ensuite bathrooms or Roosters Studio Apartment which is a perfect hideaway for couples.

Bridport is just a 25 minute walk for a wide variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs or take a shorter walk to our good, local pub just down the road in the picturesque village of Symondsbury.
Services
Roosters is a large, contemporary studio apartment with fully equipped kitchen.
The light and airy accommodation, which has comfy sofas in the living area with smart TV and WiFi, is just perfect for two.
Sliding doors lead to a private balcony with seating to enjoy the countryside views and great for alfresco lunchtime or evening dining.
The bed can be made up as a super king, or as twin beds - please advise your preference when booking.
Guests are welcome to walk through the farm which gives direct access onto Eype Down and onto the South West Coastal Path.
Located in a secluded valley, Highway Farm's fishing lakes are the perfect place to relax and enjoy a day's fishing.
We have two established and sheltered spring-fed lakes which are well stocked with plenty of strains and sizes of carp to 12 lbs.
There is also an abundance of roach, rudd, and goldfish too.
Corn or meat on a light float set-up will bring plenty of bites from the well-conditioned carp or try sneaking around the bank with a few crusts of bread.
Alternatively, simply just try floating fish maggots, for the hoards of rudd to come swimming by.
It's difficult to know where to begin as West Dorset has so much so offer.
Highway Farm is situated in a great position because you can walk to so many excellent places using the pathways leading to both the town, countryside and coast.
Straight from Highway Farm you will have direct access onto Eype Down and then onto the Jurassic Coast and the South West Coastal Path.
Eype Down has the most beautiful carpet of bluebells in May and spectacular views at any time of the year.
On the opposite side of the road to Highway Farm, take the countryside path to Symondsbury Estate for coffee and lunch or, if you are feeling energetic, take a walk up the iconic Colmers Hill.
Charlotte and Robin are happy to answer any questions you may have about Ganders, Roosters, or fishing at Highway Farm.
From the M3, take the West road onto the M27 which leads to the A31 following signs for Dorchester.
The A35 then takes you straight to Bridport.
Continue along the A35 taking Bridport bypass road and head for Lyme Regis.
Go past the Eype junction on your left and then past the Symondsbury junction on your right.
You'll soon see Highway Farm sign on your left with a long driveway leading up to the house.
