Tigh Na Cloich sits on a former Historic Lookout Point of an old Roman encampment on the banks of the river Tay in Pitlochry, and is the very essence of Pitlochry History.

The name of this essentially Victorian town Pitlochry is a corruption of the Gaelic: Pit-Cloich- Aire and means 'Place by the sentinel stone' and is believed to be associated with the pics 2000 years ago.
