Just a few reasons to consider staying at Red Cottage B&B when looking to visit the vibrant and fascinating town of Rye. Without doubt, Red Cottage Rye is superbly situated in Tillingham Avenue, a quiet cul de sac named after the River Tillingham that meanders behind our bed and breakfast and provides a riverside walk, one of many lovely walks nearby.

As is the stroll to town, where you'll find our renowned restaurants, character pubs, quaint tearooms and independent shops. The breakfast was the standout feature of this b&b and was indeed very good as others have noted, with lovely fresh fruit, and faultless cooked food. The room was well. Just a few minutes walk from town this is a really good B&B.

Lovely room (well suite actually). Excellent shower and bath. Walk in wardrobe that contains a fridge with water and fresh milk - all the nice details taken care of. A comfy bed and not a sound outside so a good nights sleep was had. Then there was the breakfast - better than most expensive hotels.

Rye has a plethora of eating establishments, from fine dining to fantastic pub grub and with many using locally sourced ingredients.
It's a never-ending challenge to review each of them but in our blog, you will find maps and a guide to many of the places to eat in town.
