Services
We moved here in 2003 as we saw the potential of creating something a little different from the usual accommodation providers found here in Cornwall.
We also felt it would be great to create something we would enjoy doing and Berrio Mill is the ideal location.
Berrio Mill is located in the peace and tranquillity of the undiscovered Lynher valley of East Cornwall.
Approached via a quiet country lane, our holiday cottages have been created for those who really want to escape from it all.
We keep bees, although Cornwall is perhaps not the best place to be a beekeeper.

We are passionate about our honey which we take from bees which forage along the Lynher Valley in Cornwall.
Using honey as a natural source of sweetness, we make a range of mustards.
We also make jellies, chutneys, jams, preserves, and marmalades.
All are hand crafted in small batches (usually 20-25 jars) at Berrio Mill with as many Cornish ingredients as we can find.
As far as possible we make our produce from fruit and vegetables that are grown locally to us.
We run a local cooperative with our neighbours, who may have a glut of strawberries, blackcurrants, apples, pears, marrows, tomatoes, etc.

Here you will see some of Ebryl's family of 8 piglets.
They have become great time wasters on our smallholding.
These wonderful creatures are definitely pets and not for pork!
The Kunekune pig is a registered rare breed originating from New Zealand with only 7 bloodlines worldwide.
They have a wonderful temperament and, as with all pigs, are extremely intelligent and very sociable animals.
We have two adult sows, Ebryl (Cornish for April) and Tegan (Cornish for Pretty Little Thing).
They like nothing better than to greet our guests on their arrival and will sit very obediently as long as there is a slice of apple or a carrot as a reward for their efforts.

Enjoy some excellent river fishing for Sea Trout, Brown Trout and Salmon on the beautiful banks of the river Lynher at Berrio Mill.
This is free for holiday guests!
We have 550m of single left hand bank.
Large spring sea trout, spring salmon and late summer grilse.
Trouting is good in May and June with peal from July.
The Lynher is characterised by predominantly riffle/run sections and pocket water with occasional deep pools, however this compact section has 5 good holding pools!
Fenced and cut out every winter, this beat has the possibility of producing some very good sea trout and salmon given adequate water.
