The Clay Cottage is the perfect place to celebrate with friends, spend quality time with family, unwind after work, or a treat for the kids! We have the largest selection of ceramics in Essex, some of which are made from one of our 2000 moulds in our workshop. Paints, design tools, idea books and friendly staff are all here to help you create a one of a kind work of art.
As well as the large open plan studio which seats 62 inside, we also have a courtyard with tables and chairs which is lovely in the spring and summer. There is also our purpose built clay room for those who really want to get creative either using the potters wheels or try clay moulding at the large table. There are lots of examples around along with tools, cutters to help you, and of course a bit of help for those who would like it.

Services
We provide use of our studio for 1hr 45mins, along with your own hostess to ensure the children have fun from start to finish.
We ofer an extensive range of ceramics as well as jewellery making t shirt paint and other crafts to keep the children busy.
Also on offer is our chocolate fountain, flowing with smooth Belgium chocolate and served with strawberries, donuts and marshmallows.
Party bags are another activity for children as they decorate their own brightly coloured paper bag with string handles with stickers and colouring in a stamped picture we then fill with tub of sweets tube of bubbles and a small flat piece of pottery.

Our studio is open 9.30 till 6.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 9.30 till 1.00 the rest of the weekend is for party bookings.
