Osborne House is the home of Heather and Neil Allan. It is a pretty, Victorian house in a secluded location but close to the centre of Ballater village. The house has a large colonial style verandah overlooking the garden and is surrounded by greenery on all sides. It is at the start of the Seven Bridges Walk which passes through oak woods and fields to a white pedestrian suspension bridge across the River Dee.
Heather and Neil look forward to giving you a warm welcome. Guests who arrive at tea-time are offered tea or coffee and a complimentary slice of homemade cake or flapjack. The village of Ballater is on the Victorian Heritage Trail that leads through Royal Deeside. Queen Victoria's private railway carriage is on display at the restored Ballater Railway Station and the village has a parade of privately owned shops as well as unsurpassed restaurants.
Around Ballater are picturesque walks for all levels. Osborne House Bed and Breakfast has been recommended by Country Living and Delicious Magazine in two magazine features on Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms National Park, and by Rick Steves' guide to Scotland.
