Located in Rochester, Kent, The Royal Victoria and Bull Hotel is a traditional coaching inn over 400 years old. The present Inn is some four hundred years old, though it is believed that another Inn stood on the same site. The Royal Coat of Arms is still displayed over the entrance to the courtyard. Perhaps the Hotel's greatest claim to fame though is through Charles Dickens.
Dickens stayed here on many occasions and featured the Hotel in two of his most famous works "The Pickwick Papers" and "Great Expectations". Ideally located in the centre of Rochester, The Royal Victoria & Bull Hotel offers en suite accommodation, free wifi and private parking is possible. Each of the rooms features satellite television and tea/coffee making facilities.
Rochester Cathedral and Rochester Castle are a mere five minute stroll away. Rochester train station is only three minutes walk away and The Guildhall museum is right in front of the property. In the heart of the Charles Dickens Festival events, the property is situated at the end of the historic high street.
