The Northwood is a family run Guesthouse with five rooms on the first floor (we have no ground floor rooms) that is situated in the heart of lovely Rhos on Sea, some 175 yards from the high class shops and the Promenade. For those not travelling by car the Llandudno to Colwyn Bay bus passes the front door and from the sea front to Rhyl. Quietly placed we do not suffer any of the noise from the A55 Expressway or the Railway.
There is adequate PRIVATE car parking for our guests - we are one of the few guesthouses in the area with this facility. Our Guests Lounge, with large colour television, offers guests a warm and friendly atmosphere where one may relax after the activities of the day - be they strenuous or otherwise! Our lounge is where one can meet other guests in comfort so that they become no longer strangers but friends you had not met before.
Our enclosed patio is open for guests to enjoy the afternoon sun and maybe a game of chess or chequers among the many flowers and bird song.

We are sorry but we no longer take children.
We have reduced our room numbers as we are getting older and decided to make the guesthouse adults only.
Our 2020 Tariff is based on the seasons of the year, Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Regrettably we have had to make some changes to our conditions and tariff for 2020.
Unfortunately like every other business in 2019 our costs have increased faster than our income can absorb so for the first time in six years we have had to increased our prices per night for 2020.

Or maybe try out our kite mounted 70cms or 2m blow up antenna sailing above you at 200 ft under a Super Sled kite using a 5w handheld radio.
Radio is fun.
A vertical antenna mounted on the roof provides for a connection that can be used for 70cms & 2m at the guest house.
North Wales Amateur Radio Group (NWARG) was formed in December of 2019 by a group of radio amateurs that yearned for a local club that encouraged it's membership to use all modes of amateur radio, to experiment with radio, to learn about radio and above all to be friendly and supportive of all of its members.
