Whether you're a keen bird-watcher, a nature lover or just looking to relax, Minsmere Holidays has much to offer. Enjoy comfortable and spacious accommodation, beautiful woodland surrounds and easy access to the many pleasures of the Suffolk coast. We welcome families: children love to explore Longacre's fields and woodlands. Our 12-acre holiday property of private woodlands lies on the valley slopes of Minsmere River.
We are lucky enough to be in the heart of the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Longacre is close to the RSPB Minsmere Reserve, which is home to a wonderful gallery of sea and marshland birds, animals and plants. A 20 minute stroll takes you to the side entrance of the reserve and a 45 minute walk across the marshes leads to the sluice where Minsmere River enters the sea.
In addition to weekly lets, short breaks are also available - at certain times - for weekends (3 nights) and weekdays (4 nights). Full details on the Tariffs page. Luxurious self-contained two-storey modernised wing, with one bedroom accommodating two guests.

Your hosts - Jane, Andrew and Chris Leng - celebrated 20 years at Longacre in 2011.
One of our greatest joys has been the gradual transformation of the property from intensively cropped arable fields to a private nature reserve.
We planted over a thousand native trees and shrubs after we arrived, which have grown into pleasant spinneys.
There is abundant wildlife.
We've put up bird and bat-boxes; the grassland, grazed by our Soay sheep, has grown increasingly species-rich.
The barn owl box in the bottom wilderness is occasionally occupied and can be seen from the edge of the Lodges area.

This strip of Suffolk coast, called the Sandlings, is covered with nature reserves.
There are plenty of places where you can take long, gentle walks, surrounded by wildlife.
Arts and crafts thrive throughout the area, including music recitals at the world famous Snape Maltings, which is next to the RSPB Snape Reserve.
The area is a must for beginner birders and twitchers.
RSPB's flagship Minsmere Reserve is just next door and there are always interesting birds and wildlife to see.
These often let you get closer than usual - a muntjac deer even tried to take lettuce from a visitor's sandwich.
