Currently, the Monboucher Suite hosts a range of events, with up to 100 people in attendance.
The room used to be the family sitting room.
With roots set firmly in the 13th century, Beamish Hall Manor started life as a wedding gift to celebrate the union between two Norman families; Isabella de la Leigh & Guiscard de Charron, who in the mid 13th century were gifted with the land as a thank you for helping William the Conqueror successfully invade England.
Built originally as a fortified farmhouse, the estate controlled all the nearby small villages, towns and hamlets, dispensing justice as the proverbial 'Lords of the Manor.'
The Stables Bar & Restaurant is situated at the back of the Hall in the converted 18th century stable block.
The Pub and Restaurant near Durham City features a large external courtyard and the building itself has been lovingly restored and retains the building's original features.
You will be greeted by original stone floors, exposed beams, antique furniture, roaring winter log fires and, of course, Northern hospitality.
Welcoming both our residents as well as walk-in guests, The Stables which is near Beamish Museum offers satisfying seasonal menus with dishes prepared from the freshest, local ingredients.
We are conveniently located within a short 30 minute journey from Newcastle, Durham City and Sunderland.
