Dating back to c.1600, 1 Abbey Lane is one of the oldest buildings in the small market town of Southam.
In 2010 a major restoration project began to bring it back to life (the restoration was followed by BBC2's Restoration Home).
Due to the scale of the decay the building was stripped back to the original fabric and restored using sympathetic materials and methods, and people who shared our passion and vision for the building.
Out came the 1960s boxing in and original beams were revealed.
Up came layers of carpet and concrete, and original elm boards were salvaged and used to recreate a beautiful floor.
