Charming West Down House, near Bradworthy in Devon, has three enchanting self-catering holiday cottages and one apartment. Dating from the sixteenth century the manor house is off the beaten track in 5 acres of lovely gardens amongst beautiful rolling countryside in this peaceful and unspoilt corner of rural north Devon and Cornwall. West Down House is close to some of the most spectacular coastline in the UK that offers breathtaking scenery, unspoilt beaches and stunning coastal path walks.

Bradworthy the local village, of Saxon origin, has pub, shops and garage (fuel) and is just over one mile. Bude, a family seaside resort with sandy beaches, rockpools and surfing is 10 miles and the rural market town of Holsworthy is 8 miles. Clovelly, the world famous quaint cobbled fishing village and harbour nestling in steep cliffs and Hartland Abbey, location for BBC's Sense & Sensibility drama production, are both 9 miles.

Tintagel Castle, Boscastle, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Bodmin Moor, Padstow, Exeter, Plymouth, Jamaica Inn, the Eden project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are popular day trips with our visitors.

The Butlers Pantry is unique and popular for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays and for other special occasions.
The cottage has exposed roof beams and bowed walls.
The quaint and snug ground floor living room has a large inglenook fireplace, working log burning stove, a comfortable settee, dining table, flat screen digital TV and DVD player.
There is also an electric convector heater and night storage heater.
A selection of reading books, magazines and brochures of local attractions are also provided.
The Grooms Cottage has an attractive open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with exposed beams and homely furnishings.
There is a feature stone fireplace with log burning stove (that you may use), a high quality matching three-seater sofa and armchair, flat screen digital TV and DVD player.
The dining area has a pine table and four chairs.
There are also two night storage heaters and an electrical convector.
A selection of reading books, magazines and brochures of local attractions are also provided.
The lovely Manor Suite apartment offers the unique experience of living in a grand old characterful country house.
The first floor accommodation is light and spacious with lovely views of the garden across the front lawns.
Thie self-contained apartment is approached through the impressive ground floor, gothic arch main front entrance (no steps).
The arch is decorated with an interesting, wood carved dog-tooth design.
The outer double doors are some 1320 mm (52") wide whilst the inner door is 1090 mm (43")wide.
Quaint Smithy Cottage is a lovely cosy holiday cottage at Abbotsham near to Bideford in North Devon.
Originally the village blacksmith's home, Smithy Cottage dates from the mid-19th century and retains period charm with modern comforts.
