The Buccleuch Arms, built in 1836 as a hunting lodge by the 5th Duke of Buccleuch is central to the Borders and hosted many weary travellers from all walks of life. In recent years the Buccleuch has won many awards for food, drink and hospitality and in 2021 hope to welcome back as many returning guests from near and far as well as some new ones too.

A large bar, bistrot, beer garden, boardroom, conference room are supplemented by 19 guest bedrooms. Our range of chilled, frozen & ready meal range of soups, main courses and puddings as well as some new favourites including home made chutney, marmalade, roast tomato dressing and our smoked spicy ketchup. Enjoy a Post Lockdown relaxing 2 night break bed and breakfast and we will throw in a bottle of house red, white or rose each night.

Escape for a Sunday night stay with us in a twin or double room and tuck into our slow cooked blade of Scotch beef followed by our classic homemade sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce and Doddingtons ice cream.

Head for a restful night and follow this up with our award winning breakfasts in the Bistrot.
We very much hope that as the autumn 2021 season is here that these dates might be a damn good reason for a wee trip and flutter in the Borders.
