Built in the early 1800's as the hunting residence of the Colquhoun family, the Ardlui Hotel is a beautiful tribute to its Scottish heritage and history, nestling as it does on a hillside by the loch.
First opened as a hotel in 1886, the Ardlui Hotel Loch Lomond has evolved over the years, with east and west wings being built into the property before 1905.
The Squires family is now in their third generation of ownership of Ardlui, having bought the property in 1978.
Brian Squires, head of the family first came to Ardlui in 1959 at eleven years of age and has been living and working here ever since.
