Services
The MacLeod family have lived at Fisherfield since the 1790's when our ancestors were ejected from their traditional lands in Snizort.
Some of our ancestors went to Canada; whilst others remained and farmed the croft at 6 Fisherfield.
They lived in a small stone building called a blackhouse, close to the shore.
Gradually, as time passed our family moved away from the shore and built a wooden property called An-Airidh.
Our great aunt Sibby chose the name, with her mother, as she details in her book of memories growing up on the croft - if you would like to read The Fishermen of Fisherfield, copies are available to borrow on request.
