This charming Devon self-catering rental holiday cottage offers a comfortable stay with sea views and a log burner. The cottage is found at the edge of the village green in East Prawle on the South coast of Devon. Originally built as a fisherman's cottage in the middle of the 19th century, it has been lovingly restored to a high standard - retaining many original features - and has been well equipped as a relaxing and memorable holiday cottage.

Looking out over fields to the sea, the cottage is light and airy during the day and the log burner in the sitting room is ideal for cosy evenings in. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances and a dining area - or eat outside on the patio area and take advantage of a warm evening. Accommodation is provided for up to 8. Larger parties can be accomodated by booking both Windfall and next door Kittiwake cottage together.

The cottage offers easy access to the South Coast - with the sea and a quiet beach being only a short walk away. East Prawle is next to the South West Coastal Path which offers access to secluded sandy coves - only accessible on foot or by boat.
Services
The village is home to an excellent pub - a long-standing favorite of the owners of Windfall!
The Pigs Nose offers pub food, well kept ales and perhaps the most surprising calendar of entertainment for a village pub.
Peter and Lesley have brought their years of experience in the music industry to the village and the pub now attracts an eclectic mix of entertainment - large and small.
Check the web link for the latest information.
Many events do not make it on to the web site so you may be pleasantly surprised by a local guitarist or a bigger name band.
East Prawle is very close to the South-West coastal path.
The path has its own website that gives the best information - but here is a part of it that is one of our favorites - a ~3 hour walk that can be done year round and takes you along the coastal cliffs and inland through a wooded bridleway.
Take a quick detour up to the Venus Cafe on the Mill-Bay side of the estuary for a cup of tea and a pastie.
The view across to Salcombe is great.
A ferry boat takes passengers across to the town for a drink or browsing the shops.
