Nestled in the heart of this historic fishing town, Beacon House bed and breakfast commands the most stunning views of Brixham harbour, marina and beyond. This iconic Victorian house, built in the 1850's has been totally but compassionately re-furbished offering guests modern amenities including car parking and WiFi but still retaining its charm and heritage.
All of our four bedrooms, breakfast room and guest lounge have sea views, in addition our four bedrooms are all en suite. Please note: If you are physically impaired or elderly please call us for clarification as we are the top of the harbour bowl and we may not be the ideal choice for you.

Prospect House, as it was originally named, was built in the early 1850's as a detached residence for a local smack (trawler) owner.

In the early 1900's the house was split into two by the then owners, but retained ownership of both houses.
We purchased "Beacon House" off Nigel and Amanda who bought it themselves in 2011 off the Bully family, who had owned them since 1926 when they acquired them for the pricely sum of 826!
During their tenure, the house doubled up as a dairy which occupied the outbuilding down the side of the house.

Located on the second floor, Bay View is the premier room and commands breath-taking views from both its 3.5m private balcony and the room itself.
Located to the rear / side of Beacon House, a light and airy room, Marina View has a definite nautical theme, with its high quality blue and white decor enhanced by views of Brixham marina and the breakwater.
Beacon room is home to the "beacon" which encapsulates the history behind the house and ultimately led to its name.
Located on the first floor to the front of the house, Harbour View maybe our smallest bedroom, but perhaps its our most charming.

Balance Payment: The balance payment for your entire stay will be deducted from your card 7 days before arrival.
Cancellation: as above up to 8 days before commencement of the stay.

Breakfast is served in the Captain's lounge, next to the Galley, which is a beautiful, bright room, with a huge bay window offering wonderful views of the marina, breakwater and beyond.

The room also has a number of paintings and pictures which were in our late fish restaurant, "The Lobster Pot" in London for 25 years, they found an appropriate new home here.

Wherever possible we source produce locally and everything is freshly prepared, from the range of cereals and jams to the various cooked options there is always something for the most demanding palates.

You can use our new Bicycle Tandem for 15 per day - Reservation necessary, first come, first.

Lock & helmets will be provided, if lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair: 350.
There is the possibility to have your laundry washed & dried, 15 per machine load, regardless of quantity up to 8Kg.
You must instruct us at what temperature we must wash it.
