The Fountain Hotel and Public Bar was built in the 17C as a Coaching Inn. It is in the centre of the busy market town of Hawes, which is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Today and for the last 31 years the hotel has been owned by the McCarthy family. You will find Angus & Mandy along with their children, Kim & Henry working in all areas of the business.
The Fountain has 11 en-suite bedrooms. A traditional English Breakfast is served each morning included in the price of accommodation. Private functions play a big part at the Fountain. These range from bands and disco's to weddings, private dinners and exhibitions. These can cater for 8-80 people.

We decided to have a last minute night away in this lovely part of Yorkshire.
On a Frosty day the room was lovely & warm, our bed was nice and comfortable and breakfast was really good before our walk up to the waterfall.
Great place to go for a drink, have a meal or organise a party - the Fountain never fails to be a fantastic place to socialise.
Stayed in Hawes for half-term and visited the Fountain most days either for an evening meal or a well deserved drink after a days walking.
We were made to feel welcome, especially on Halloween when our teenage girls had dressed up.
