Built in the 19th century, The Ashberry offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation in a charming Victorian townhouse. Tastefully refurbished to give a fresh and comfortable feel throughout, The Ashberry has 5 en-suite bedrooms located over 3 floors. Hosts Gill and John will give you a warm and friendly welcome and will aim to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Situated on the Mount, part of the rich architectural heritage of York, we are close to the ancient city walls of historic York and only 10 minutes walk from the racecourse, railway station, city centre and all the city's major tourist attractions, ideal for visitors on foot. York is renowned for its famous Roman walls and beautiful medieval and Georgian buildings and there is much to do and see.

Apart from the many attractions including the Minster, Jorvik centre and the Railway Museum to name just a few, you also have the wonderful shops, coffee houses and restaurants at your disposal, all within easy walking distance of The Ashberry.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast, served in our light and airy dining room.
A choice of a full English or Continental breakfast is available and should you let us know in advance, special diets such as Coelic or Vegetarian can be catered for.
We have 5 en-suite bedrooms over 3 floors.
All have been tastefully decorated to provide modern and comfortable accommodation and are equipped to a high standard.
Facilities include flat screen televisions with Freeview, hairdryer, hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries.
Please note additional children/adults above the age of 12 staying in our family room will be charged a 10 supplement per night.
If you are enjoying a special occasion whilst staying with us, we can organise flowers, bubbly or chocolates for your arrival on request.
All damage to rooms will be paid for by the occupant of the room and will be billed accordingly to repair or replacement.
Turn right out of the railway station, follow the road over the bridge, then take the right at the traffic lights, the Ashberry is on the left side of the road after approximately 350 metres.
You will come into York on the A64 Leeds - York road.
On the outskirts of the city take the A1036 turning signposted to York West.
After a mile you will pass the Racecourse on your right hand side.
There is then a slight hill with traffic lights at the top, go through these lights and we are 100 yards along on the right hand side.
