The Beehive is owned by Jo & Steve Prior. This is our first venture into B&Bs and we are delighted with the feedback we have received from our guests who have enjoyed staying with us. The Beehive was built in 1909 for Francis Alfred Bolton, of the Bolton family who owned the large copper and iron works in the village until its closure in the 1960s.
The building started out life as a haberdashery shop and then in the 1980s it was turned in to a guest house. As part of our refurbishment we have uncovered and retained many original features alongside creating a more fresh and modern feel. The semi circular frontage to the property results in a unique building in a delightful location overlooking the River Churnet.

A deposit of the first night is required to secure a booking.
This deposit is refundable for cancellations made up to 14 days before your date of arrival.
Our rooms are for the stated number of persons only and there is no capacity for extra beds or cots.
Rooms are available from 4.00pm until 8pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on day of departure.
Discount for single person occupancy of a room up to 10pn is available when you book direct with us except weekends and bank holidays.
