The Cock Inn has been owned by the Bedford Family since 1999 and they welcome you to their 17th century pub with accommodation set in the historical village of Sheering which is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. The Towns of Sawbridgeworth, Bishops Stortford, Harlow, Stansted Mountfitchet, Saffron Walden and Cambridge are all within easy driving distance with Stansted being our nearest airport and Sawbridgeworth our nearest train station with the M11 also within easy reach.
Several beautiful Wedding venues are situated in other nearby villages, making staying here ideal. We have been several times mostly to have lunch. They currently have main meal and dessert off of 7.9. The area of eating is set out very well. This Inn is worth giving a visit. We arrived Friday evening for a much needed get away from it all, to relax and chill for a couple of days.
A friendly welcome on arrival our room was. Breakfast was really good the sausages were especially nice, plenty of choice and enough to set you up for the day, all served with a friendly smile.
