Perfect Manors Highland Retreats
Whether you are looking for a magical wedding venue, inspirational corporate event or simply a relaxing break as life returns to normal, why settle for anything less than extraordinary?. As the possibility of a restriction-free UK summer draws closer, we have plenty to offer for a getaway staycation! Choose between a self-catering break in our unique Mini Manors, or a bed and breakfast stay in our castle.

For a unique period in 2021, we are opening our castle doors to guests on a bed and breakfast basis. As many of our previous guests will know, we are usually a wedding and events venue, but this summer, as restrictions on larger gatherings unfortunately remain, we are delighted to offer our castle bedrooms for individuals and smaller groups to book.

For those looking to reunite with a group of family and friends, our Mini Manors are the ideal spot. They are seven uniquely designed five and six bedroom properties, bursting with character, with spacious living rooms and open plan kitchens: perfect for reuniting as a group after such a long period apart!

Who are Perfect Manors?
Good question.
We are not a big, bland hospitality chain.
We are small and - dare we say it - perfectly formed.
After all, the best things really do come in small packages.
We passionately believe that life is too short for banality, for blandness, for boredom.
We therefore invite you to come to one of our extraordinary five star luxury properties to "Escape the ordinary".
We offer you ultimate luxury breaks in a choice of simply stunning properties.
Started by husband and wife team Gillian and Mike Lacey-Solymar, with help from their three children, Perfect Manors was born with the purchase of our beautiful Regency mansion, Cortes House in Aberdeenshire.
We passionately believe that life is too short for banality, for blandness, for boredom.
The mantra by which we live is "Escape the ordinary".
Strong noble words, the cynics among you may be thinking, but in reality, how does that affect me?
In so many ways.
The properties in a sense mirror the guests' requirements.
They are individual; so too are you.
We are fortunate in that each of the three properties we have within Perfect Manors is not only individual, but gorgeous.
How are you to be inspired unless you see beauty?
Achnagairn Castle is a five-star exclusive-use venue, set in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland, on a 30-acre estate.
It is breathtaking as a wedding venue, particularly thanks to the castle's crowning glory - a magical, historic, vaulted ballroom.
The ballroom is always the centrepiece of weddings at Achnagairn: the aisle for you to walk down, the setting for the grand wedding breakfast, and the site of the dancing that goes on to the early hours.
It truly lends itself perfectly to fairytale weddings, large or small.
You could not hope for a more magical place to tie the knot than Achnagairn's Ballroom.
It is breathtaking.
In fact, the most common word uttered when people enter the room for the first time is "wow".
Built in 1912, Achnagairn's ballroom came into being because the then-owner's daughter was about to have her 21st birthday and she had nowhere to celebrate, poor lamb.
You can choose exactly what sort of ceremony you would like at Achnagairn, as you tie the knot under the vaulted ceiling.
When the guests return, the ballroom will have been transformed into the most magical banqueting room.
One of the lovely things about Achnagairn Estate as a wedding venue is how it allows you to be surrounded by all your friends, whether your wedding party is staying for one night or more.
In total across the estate, Achnagairn can sleep up to 130 people.
55 guests can stay in the castle's 24 luxury, individually designed bedrooms.
Depending on the size of the wedding party, couples tend to invite their closest friends and family to stay here with them (as they stay in the glorious Bridal Suite).
