Just a short walk to Bowness and a host of activities await on Lake Windermere where you can also take a trip on a Windermere steamboat and visit the Steamboat Museum.
The World of Beatrix Potter is a popular visitor attraction in the Lakes and a vehicle ferry will take you across Lake Windermere to the famous writer's home at Near Sawrey.
Woodlands is also close to the National Park Visitor Centre at Brockhole, the Wordsworth Museum at Grasmere and, in whichever direction you travel from Windermere you are surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in England.

There is a variety of sleeping arrangements from single, double twin or triple rooms, with the option of upgrading to a four poster king size, or super king size bed.
All of our rooms are shower ensuite; apart from our 2 largest rooms in our guest house; The Executive Room and The Courtyard Suite which have full bathroom suites.
When staying at The Woodlands, why not treat yourself or a loved one to a special treat which we can organise in advance of your arrival.
